More Than 300 Facilities Earn Triple 0

Company Honored With Sterling Safety Gold Award

Using industry standard metrics, Vulcan Materials Company tracks progress in improving worker safety. The goal is no reportable injuries, no recordable injuries and no MSHA citations — Triple 0! Through the first half of 2018, 304 Vulcan facilities earned Triple 0 status.  

“We are very proud of the facilities that fall within the ‘Triple Zero Club,’” said Chad McDougal, Director, Safety & Health, Vulcan Materials. “Being a part of this club is proof of their commitment to safety, health and environment.”

The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) awarded Vulcan Materials Company the 2018 Sterling Safety Gold Award, Large Division. The award was created in 1994 to recognize the companies that have the lowest total injury incidence rate for the previous year (2017) in their category.
