Our Ft. Myers Quarry was called to provide essential construction materials for emergency repair work on the Sanibel Causeway and Pine Island Bridge. In total, 60+ employees and 100+ truck drivers sprang into action, contributing their time and effort to provide 130,000+ tons of material.

Helping Those That Help Our Communities.

In 1975, we began our partnership with the Shepherd Center, which is ranked a Top 10 Rehabilitation Hospital by U.S. News and World Report. Over the years, employees and their dependents have relied on the services the center provides. Our Southeast Division recently made a multi-year $100,000 pledge from the Vulcan Materials Company Foundation to support recreational therapy programs and the Pursuing Possibilities Capital Campaign.

Cabarrus Big Brothers Big Sisters stopped by our Cabarrus Quarry in North Carolina for a Career Exploration Day. Middle and High School students with their "Bigs" learned about career pathways at Vulcan, took a close-up look at quarry equipment and toured the quarry that's been operating since 1987.

Getting Active for a Cause

Members of our Alabama team participated in the Just A Call Away 5K fundraiser. The fun run benefits Crisis Center, Inc., which serves the unmet needs of people experiencing personal crisis or mental health issues and responds with services that promote coping, emotional health and well-being. Thank you to all those who participated and cheered our team on!
