Providing a home for our feathery friends. With 285 acres of wetlands and open water habitat as well as over 30 nest boxes, birds flock to Pleasanton Sand & Gravel, one of our 40+ Wildlife Habitat Council certified sites.

Check out our Tiger Creek Mitigation Bank in Lake Wales, FL. Working with state and federal conservation agencies and organizations, we established this 400-acre home for local threatened species including the sand skink, bluetail mole skink and gopher tortoise.

Since 2010, the team at our facility in Liberty, SC and local first responders have partnered to provide neat experiences for special needs students at Liberty High School. Activities have included fishing and field trips to the quarry

Meet Mayor Fred Cloninger. He has worked for Vulcan for 32 years and is currently a shop supervisor at our quarry in Rockingham, NC. He was sworn in as mayor of Ellerbe, North Carolina on Dec. 2. Congratulations Fred! We wish you and the town of Ellerbe continued success

AZ Congresswoman Debbie Lesko Visits Vulcan

Our Mountain West Division team hosted Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-8) for a tour and employee town hall at the Sun City Plant in Phoenix.
The Congresswoman saw the Vulcan sand and gravel operations process from start to finish and learned how we recycle material. Our conversations included transportation topics and what’s happening in Washington, DC.
A fun part of the day was when the Congresswoman was presented with a "Four Pillars of Safety" coin by the division's newest U.S. citizen, Safety & Health Coordinator Debbie Williams. Debbie is a native of Canada but was sworn in as a U.S. citizen last week.
