Shake, shake, shake out!

Our California Team participated in The Great California ShakeOut, the state’s largest earthquake drill ever. In the event of an earthquake, everyone is encouraged to Drop, Cover, and Hold On: DROP to the ground (before the earthquake drops you!), take COVER by getting under a sturdy desk or table, and HOLD ON to it until the shaking stops.

Our Ft. Myers Quarry was called to provide essential construction materials for emergency repair work on the Sanibel Causeway and Pine Island Bridge. In total, 60+ employees and 100+ truck drivers sprang into action, contributing their time and effort to provide 130,000+ tons of material.

Helping Those That Help Our Communities.

In 1975, we began our partnership with the Shepherd Center, which is ranked a Top 10 Rehabilitation Hospital by U.S. News and World Report. Over the years, employees and their dependents have relied on the services the center provides. Our Southeast Division recently made a multi-year $100,000 pledge from the Vulcan Materials Company Foundation to support recreational therapy programs and the Pursuing Possibilities Capital Campaign.
